Using the Showcase App

The Showcase App is a great place to start learning the SPARK UI Toolkit, and is full of useful information on how to use SPARK UI controls.

If you haven't already done so, navigate here on how to get the SPARK Toolkit, and then go here to see how to install the Showcase Process App.

When you are ready to use the Showcase Process App, you can search for a SPARK control under 'User Interface' --> 'Heritage Human Service' --> [Control Name] + 'Showcase'.  Alternatively, once you have clicked on User Interface just typing the name of the Control you are interested in learning about.

Once you find the control you are looking for, there is information about the control on the Diagram tab, including where you can find the Knowledge Base article.

From there you can explore the control by going to the Coaches tab to see the Coach design and then running the service () to see the Coach at runtime.

Each Showcase will show the different configuration options available.  By interacting with the Coach, you can see what each configuration option does. There are also notes that help explain what the control is doing.  For example:

If, for example, you wanted to see how the On Load event works, by running the Coach, you can see the events section.  From there, you can locate this on the Coach in Process Designer to see what is happening.  In this example, the setLabel method is being used to set the label of the Decimal control.

Also, when you go to a control's Coach View, you will see more documentation resources in the Documentation section in the Overview tab.

Another helpful resource is the One Page Reference, located here, which lists each control with links to various documentation.
